Reboot Update

Well, hello, there.  So my 30 day reboot has come and gone and now I'm back to eating after a week of phasing food back into my system, which was interesting.  The final tally:  26lbs lost, down at least one clothing size, shaved 20 minutes off my total biking commute time, six weeks (and counting) coffee free, and feeling pretty amazing, actually.  I want to thank everyone who supported me IRL and on social media; I really appreciated the words of encouragement and support.  Juicing is still part of my everyday and I think my next reboot tune-up will be in September 5-5-5 style.  I'm hoping to have a couple of friends who will reboot with me at that time and I hope they reap the same healthful benefits as I have.

Well, thanks for hanging in there with me.  I'll be back with an irregularly scheduled craft some point.

Until then, juice on!

Wedding Cards

I said I'd be back with something craft related!  My Cousin Janet asked me to make a wedding card for her and I thought I'd post them on my blog so she could make her choice or tell me to go another way.

I made a square base with a versa mark/perfect pearls background and a lovely metallic hot pink La Rue Heart die cut from Memory Box then I stuck different "couples" on top.  Let me know what you think.  Here they are:

I kinda like the base all by itself but the two couples add a different flavour.  I used temporary adhesive so that I didn't have to make two bases.  Now, I'll leave it up to my Cuz to make her choice or to tell me to go a different direction.  Even though it's a beautiful day outside, my photo lighting options are either dark or extremely bright.  Unfortunately it doesn't allow any of the subtle shimmer from the background or the metallic cardstock to show through.  And, yes, those are little black star eyes in the skull hair clips.

Reboot - Day 29

Wow, 29 days down and 1 day to go.  I'm feeling good, only had a handful of days when I wasn't feeling great but those days were on the extreme side of the worst-day-ever scale anyways - juicing or not.  My energy has been pretty amazing and my sleep has been good.  I don't know what's more amazing: the fact that I've gone 29 days without meat or the fact that I've gone 29 days without caffeine.  So far, I miss chicken way more than my pre-cleanse cuppa in the morning.

I stopped compulsively weighing myself about two weeks ago because it was becoming....compulsive.  Final weigh in will be Wednesday (first day, post fast).  I know I'm down at least 15lbs which is great but I have physical proof of further weight lost:  nothing fits.  My pants hang really low and feel longer, my shoes are loose, I've had to move one belt loop in and (this may be TMI) but I've had to re-adjust my bra straps.  I knew I would lose weight but the fact that my clothes would be looser actually never dawned on me.  Yay.

Well, I hope this is a lifestyle change I can maintain.  I know I'm going to be juicing for at least another two weeks while I phase in regular foods but I would like to continue to do reboot tune-ups throughout the year, 5-5-5 style.  If you're interested in the Reboot, Google Reboot with Joe or check out Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead on YouTube.

Thanks for hanging in with me.  I'll be returning with something craft related soon....promise.  Until then, juice on!
